Thank you for visiting and shopping at Birla Law House. The following are the terms and conditions that constitute our Shipping Policy.
1. Order Processing Time
All orders are processed within 1–2 business days. Orders are not shipped or delivered on weekends or public holidays. If we are experiencing a high volume of orders or handling complex bulk publishing requests, shipments may be delayed by a few days. If there is a significant delay in the shipment of your order, we will contact you via email or SMS.
2. Shipping Rates & Delivery Estimates
Shipping charges and delivery timelines for your orders are calculated based on the delivery location and the total order value. We utilize premium courier aggregators like Shiprocket to ensure your books arrive safely.

Note: Delivery delays can occasionally occur due to logistics bottlenecks, weather conditions, or remote locations.
3. Cash on Delivery (COD) Policy
We offer Cash on Delivery (COD) across most serviceable pin codes in India. Due to the additional logistics and cash-handling costs charged by our courier partners:

A fixed COD Handling Fee of ₹39 will be applied to all Cash on Delivery orders, regardless of the order value.

To avoid this fee, you can choose any of our secure prepaid payment options (UPI, Credit/Debit Cards, Netbanking) at checkout.
4. Shipment Confirmation & Order Tracking
You will receive a Shipment Confirmation email and SMS once your order has shipped containing your unique tracking number(s). The tracking number will become active within 24 hours of dispatch, allowing you to monitor your delivery directly through the Shiprocket portal.
5. Customs, Duties, and Taxes
Birla Law House is not responsible for any additional local municipal entries or octroi charges applied to your order. All fees imposed during or after shipping are the absolute responsibility of the customer. (Please note that physical law books are exempt from GST under Indian tax laws; hence, no tax is added to your shipping or product tier costs).
6. Damages
If you receive your package in a damaged state or find that pages are missing/misprinted due to a transit defect, please preserve the packaging material and damaged items and reach out to us within 24 hours of delivery at birlalawhouse@gmail.com to claim a free replacement.
